Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Doink collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our nutrition and recovery tracking app. Doink is operated by Edgar Rodrigo Granados Alvizures ("we", "us"), who acts as the data controller for the personal data described below. This page is maintained by the Doink team and is not a substitute for legal advice.

What we collect

• Account data: email address and (if you sign in with Google) your Google profile name and avatar.
• Profile & goals: age, sex, height, weight, activity level, goal type (cut / bulk / maintain), preferred language, and timezone — the inputs your TDEE and macro targets are calculated from.
• Nutrition logs: foods you add to your library, foods you log, meal slots, and timestamps.
• Weight logs: weight entries you record.
• Whoop data: if you connect Whoop, we pull your daily recovery, strain, sleep, and calorie expenditure. We store OAuth tokens to keep the sync working.
• Nutrition label images: photos you capture in the "Scan label" flow are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for extraction. We do not store the images ourselves — only the structured macro data returned to you.

How we use it

• To calculate your calorie and macro targets.
• To show your daily, weekly, and monthly progress and trends.
• To sync Whoop metrics next to your nutrition data.
• To send optional meal reminders you enable in Settings.

We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising.

Legal basis for processing

• Contract: we process your account, profile, logs, and Whoop data to provide the service you signed up for.
• Consent: we process Whoop data and send label images to Anthropic only if you explicitly enable those features. You can withdraw consent at any time from Settings.
• Legitimate interests: for security, fraud prevention, and improving the service.
• Legal obligation: where required by applicable law (e.g. tax records held by our payment processor).

Third parties we use

• Lovable Cloud (Supabase): stores your account, profile, logs, and Whoop data. Row-level security means only you can read your own rows.
• Anthropic: receives your label photo to extract nutrition facts. Governed by Anthropic's own privacy policy.
• Whoop: if you connect your account, we access the scopes you approve (recovery, strain, sleep, cycles).
• Google: if you sign in with Google, Google shares your email, name, and avatar with us.
• Paddle.com Market Ltd ("Paddle"): our reseller and Merchant of Record for Doink Pro subscriptions. When you subscribe, Paddle receives your name, email, billing address, IP address, and payment details in order to process the order, handle billing, tax compliance, invoicing, refunds, and customer service for the transaction. Paddle acts as an independent data controller for that billing data. See Paddle's privacy policy.

Data retention & deletion

Your data lives in your account for as long as your account exists. To delete your account and all associated data, email us at hello@doink-ai.com from your account email address.

Your rights

You can view, export, update, or delete your data at any time. If you disconnect Whoop from Settings, we stop syncing and delete the stored OAuth tokens. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law — including the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, the right to withdraw consent, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), encrypted storage at rest, and row-level security so users can only read their own rows.

Children

Doink is not intended for children under 13. Do not create an account if you are under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
